Alumni Association

The Alumni Association of Mauritania is a network of those who have gone to the United States under State Department-sponsored educational and professional exchange programs.  It offers a way to support and assist Alumni in implementing the concepts they explored in their exchange experience and effecting positive change in their communities.  It is a place to learn, teach, share with, and support fellow Alumni.

The Association works to further better communication and increased mutual understanding between Mauritania and the U.S.  It also supports the next generation of young people by serving as mentors and recruiting new exchange participants.

The Association sponsors a number of activities such as:

  • Lectures
  • Debates
  • Policy Forums
  • Speakers
  • Book translations
  • Social events
  • Newsletters
  • Luncheons
  • Radio Talks

The Alumni Association Resources Community is a web resource for State Alumni that features a variety of resources and information to help alumni found and develop alumni associations.
