Esteemed Imams
Honored guests

It is a great pleasure for me to present this modest donation from the US Embassy in Nouakchott to your schools in order to facilitate your daily work. The donation is composed of three computers with printers.

Ladies and Gentlemen

As you know, the spread of knowledge and obtaining the right tools must constitute one of the principal priorities of governments and the governed.  For these are the only ways that allow peoples to achieve  the development that characterizes the rest of the world.  So I am sure that these computers will help your students in this way.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I remain confident that this donation will be well used and equally confident that the cooperation between the Mauritanian Imams and our Embassy will continue to be developed and reinforced.

I wish you all success and I thank you.

Joseph LeBaron
United States Ambassador in Mauritania

Nouakchott, April 20, 2006.
