U.S. Makes Significant Donation Under Food Program to Mauritania

Ambassador Joseph LeBaron of the U.S. Embassy and Abddellahi O. Ahmed Damou, Mauritanian Commissioner for Food Security, visited Friendship Port in Nouakchott on the occasion of the delivery of 12,000 tons of wheat and 5000 tons of rice, donated to Mauritania under the Food for Progress program. 

The donation will allow aid to that part of the population most affected by drought and locust invasions during the last several years by financing several development projects.
