Internet-Based Registration System (IBRS)

IBRS is a secure online travel registration that allows U.S. Citizens to record foreign trip and residence contact information. The Dept. of State can use the information to assist the citizens in case of an emergency or provide up-to-the minute travel and safety information for the regions or countries in which they travel or reside.

U.S. Citizens can access this site either though TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or directly at IBRS.

Local registration is still available at the U.S. Embassy in Nouakchott. Please use the following form if you choose this option.
