American Cultural Week in Nouadhibou

Mr. David Wyche, Public Affairs Officer of the United States Embassy in Mauritania and Mrs. Zeinabou Mint Ely Salem, Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, presided today at a ceremony to open an exhibition titled “Window on America.” The week-long exhibition, which continues until November 16, is intended to promote cultural exchange between Mauritania and the United States.  It features posters and historical replicas that tell the history and development of the American nation.

During the same time period, the American hip-hop artist Dynamax will perform two concerts in Nouadhibou.  He will perform on November 12 and 13 with two renowned Mauritanian hip-hop groups.
